His childhood was marked by frequent illnesses, fostering skepticism toward health care. However, Logan’s Doctor of Chiropractic program changed the trajectory of his life. With a thirst for knowledge and a desire to help others, Sara Thoele found her place at Logan University as both a staff member and student. Following her graduation from Cornell College in 2013, Sara’s plans of being a social worker changed after having to move home to help take care of her grandmother. “After moving home, I wasn’t sure what to do,” Sara said. “Finding the position as a patient service representative at Logan University’s Southfield Health Center – and at the Stephen A. Five students from Logan University’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program attended a Career Roadshow in Milwaukee on March 9 and 10. Hosted by Logan Career Services, the event was designed to help student doctors explore a variety of career options and build their network of professional contacts. On March 9, the participating students—along with Jason Goodman, DC (’98), PhD, director of external clinical rotations and assistant professor at Logan—delivered a presentation to a group of undergraduate students from several universities throughout Wisconsin interested in applying to chiropractic school. U.S. Air Force Veteran Aspires to Aid Fellow Disabled Veterans

Dominque Roberts, former nuclear weapons technician for the United States Air Force, realized their true calling after attending one of many appointments with the Veterans Affairs (VA) office.  Dominique wanted to create custom, electronically aided, active prosthetics for other disabled veterans. “I aim to create the prosthetics to be suited to people’s specific needs and match their lifestyles,” explained Dominique. “This isn’t necessarily a niche the VA is suited, or designed, to meet.” Dominique plans to achieve this goal by attending Logan University to earn their Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree.
